Beech-wood honey or LH447 is a viscous syrup, extracted from beech-wood and produced exclusively by bene pharmaChem. It’s made solely from plant material by a defined manufacturing process without chemical modification. Chemically it’s a glucuronoxylan-lignin complex whose main components are hemicelluloses and lignin.
Inherent complexes such as carbohydrate-lignin have shown
- cholesterol lowering,
- anti-inflammatory,
- antiviral, and
- antimutagen
activities.
In addition a high potential to serve as a dietary supplement with pharmaceutical properties could be shown. LH447 is at present subject to extensive trials.
